Is MLB Hurting Andropause Sufferers and Male Hormone Industry?

On February 2, 2009, Alex Rodriguez admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs while playing for the Texas Rangers from 2001-2003. According to a Sports Illustrated published on February 9, 2009, Rodriguez tested positive for Primobolan and testosterone–two anabolic steroids in 2003.

Under the Major Baseball League’s drug policy, the use of steroids without a valid prescription is prohibited. In the United States, primoblan, also known as methenolone, is illegal. Testosterone, a male sex hormone, can be taken legally with an appropriate medical prescription. In recent years it has been speculated that baseball players have taken testosterone illegally–without a prescription–because testosterone can enhance muscle development, strength and endurance.

In the medical field, testosterone is used to treat men with medical symptoms such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, Hemochromatosis and Prader-Willi syndrome. Testosterone treatment can also

James “Big Game Jay” McCormick: 2009 American League Baseball Preview

Best Team in AL – New York Yankees
<br>

Let’s just go down the list: CC Sabathia, AJ Burnett, a healthy Chien Ming Wang followed by Andy Pettite and Joba Chamberlain will take this team back to the playoffs and into the World Series. Jorge Posada is healthy again and will catch 110-120 games and Hideki Matsui is back from an injury-plagued year and he’ll be playing for a contract next year. 2B Robinson Cano has a lot to prove and will do so. Mark Teixera brings professional, tremendous presence at the plate and a gold glove first baseman. Add a the ageless future Hall of Famer, Mariano Rivera, bullpen depth and SP Phil Hughes waiting for his turn to make believers out of the Yankee brass and this team is stacked. We didn’t even mention the games second best player coming back in May or June, Alex Rodriguez.

Congratulations Prince Fielder of the Brewers for winning the 2009 Home Run Derby, but Good Job Nelson Cruz for putting up a great fight and making all us Texas Rangers fans proud. I also talk about the first half of the season for the Texas Rangers, and hopefully they won’t falter as the usually do after the MLB All Star break.

Cowboys? New .15 Billion Stadium Open to the Public

George Strait and Reba McEntire are two of the biggest names in country music. Yet in their first gig together “since we were opening shows for Conway Twitty many many moons ago,” they still played second fiddle to the real star of the show: the venue, the US.15-billion Cowboys Stadium.

“I am so honoured to be here, I can’t even tell you how much,” Strait told a crowd of 60,188. “I mean, I can say I’ve done a lot of things in my career and had a lot of fun. This is right up there at the top of anything I’ve ever done before because I’m such a big Dallas Cowboys fan.”

The biggest cheers, though, came about a half-hour into Strait’s act. He asked the crowd to chant, “Jerry, open the roof!” With thousands of camera flashes going off, the retractable roof peeled back for the first time as Strait played.

This was the first official event at a building so spectacular that it’s already lured a Super Bowl, a Final Four, the

2010 World Series Predictions And Odds ? Mlb World Series 2010

Spring Training is right around the corner and with that, it’s time to check the 2010 World Series futures odds for all 30 MLB teams.

Oddsmakers from online betting sportsbook have made the New York Yankees 3/1 favorites to win the 2010 World Series after winning baseball’s championship in 2009. The 2009 World Series runner up, the Philadelphia Phillies, are 6/1 to win this season.

The defending champs traded for Detroit Tigers (28/1) outfielder Curtis Granderson in the outfield and also signed right fielder Randy Winn. The Bronx Bombers lost Hideki Matsui to the Los Angeles Angels (14/1) via free agency and have yet to re-sign Johnny Damon.

The Phillies made the splash of the offseason when they traded former Cy Young winner Roy Halladay. They had to give up Cliff Lee (Seattle Mariners, 16/1) in the deal, but they acquired one of the top pitchers in the game in Halladay.

One team that usually makes a splash in the

Seattle Mariners Tickets – Lee Could Be Heading For D.l

For the first time in a few seasons, there is serious buzz around the Seattle Mariners, coming off an impressive offseason in which they added several big pieces to their roster.  One of the main pieces certainly is Cliff Lee, who is among the most dominant left-handed starting pitchers in the league and is a perfect complement to Mariners ace Felix Hernandez.  But don’t start chalking the Mariners in for postseason play just yet, as it looks like Cliff Lee might just start the season on the D.L. with an abdominal injury.

After helping to carry the Philadelphia Phillies to the World Series last season, Cliff Lee brought high expectations to the Mariners when they landed him this offseason.  After winning a Cy Young in 2008, Lee has earned a reputation as a dominant starting pitcher that had fans clamoring about a division title.  The division title talk needs to be put on hold (for now anyway), as Lee looks to recover from an injury he suffered in a
